The picture explains it all. My Avast! Antivirus is killing all connections to MMi because of malicious software stored on the site or (more likely) in the ads. I'm forced to use the mobile app for now.

Please look into this immediately. Avast has prevented any infection but there are likely tons of people at risk. If it is a false-positive, please report it to Avast! And all other antivirus apps flagging this site. This is supposed to be a professional website run by professionals. It's been 24 hours and the site is still flagged. Get it together, MMi.

Edit: I forgot to mention, this message appears on every page of MMi, not just the front page. Within 10-15 seconds, I am usually met with a "connection has been reset" message and can no longer access MMi until I restart my browser.

I mean it's not the first time. I got a similar message years ago from this site, but the staff had it cleaned up in a matter of hours. They're still posting new articles, not acknowledging any issues, and it's still here.

We are aware of the issue and are looking into it. The two reports we have received by email so far are AVAST users that are also running an ad blocker.

Are you guys running ad blockers as well? If yes does the error still occur with the adblocker off? Please provide a full list of things loading on the site when the issue occurs.

I don't have a windows PC but if you use Safari there is an activity window that shows a list of everything loading on a page
    Ctrl+Alt+a on a windows machine

One of the guys in email with the issue provided me with the activity windows report from safari. Someone injected a line of code into the vbulletin template system. I have removed the code and the issue should be resolved for the moment. Please email us at [email protected] if a similar issue occurs in the future.

I have reported this vulnerability to vbulletin and hope for a quick resolution.

Thanks! I was completely cut off, like I said, so I couldn't find the contact e-mails. I just hope the code wasn't too malicious and no one got infected from it.

Just sent a message through MMI 'Contact Us' link:

    http://i49.tinypic.com/ayq7f5.png

I believe I've seen this before (long time ago?) and wasn't too concerned,
besides the recent template injection issues.

I do see a bunch of reports on:
    http://jsunpack.jeek.org/

but it looks like a bunch of people asking "is this script malicious?" where the answer is "no".

    ....
Looks like it's the standard lijit adbar script, that's being quoted instead of executing for some reason.
