Facebook Connect
I used Facebook Connect to login to the site. I would now like to use the regular login method. Is there anyway to convert my Facebook Connect username to a regular username? I tried using my onyxatom and my FB password but that didn't work. Also tried creating a new regular account with my current username but it said it was already in use. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
TIA

Turn off Facebook connect in Facebook. Go into Privacy settings - Applications and scroll down to Facebook connect and check off the box "Do not allow my friends to view my memberships on other websites..."
Alternatively just hit "skip" when you post something here on mmi when it asks if you want it to post to your Facebook wall.

@ bhz1
I looked into what you said; however, 'Don't allow friends to view my memberships on other websites through Facebook Connect.' was NOT checked for me. Also, I already hit the 'skip' when posting something. Essentially I want to keep my username and stats but not use my Facebook credentials to login to this site. Is that possible?

Good question. I thought it would work for me since I just found that setting myself and it was checked off. I unchecked it and it still asks me i I want to post to FB. I tried logging out of MMi and back in again and it still does it. Havent a clue. It is annoying to have to click skip with each post.

I only have this account. I signed up with Facebook connect and would now like to be able to sign in without using Facebook connect. Is that possible?

I would actually like the same if possible

I figured in the beginning that it was a smart feature, but now when I want to browse the site from my iPhone it prompts me for a login, which I don't have because I am not a 'real' user.. that and of course the facebook pop up is rather tedious

edit your email address and password and save, you should then be able to login normally with your current username and new password

I would really like to browse the site from my iPhone, and not being able to log in proper keeps me from doing so...

I installed UserAgent Faker so I could login using Facebook Connect on the regular site.
Switching to "Normal Version" doesn't work on the mobile site.

if you want your account switched to a normal user account pm me your email and mention that you want your facebook account switched to a normal account, I'll manually update your account with the email and a new password. Afterwards I'll email you your new password.
Afterwards it should act like a normal account so you can change your password etc.
