24 hour ban
On my home forum I ban for 24 hours for these annoying little people that come into a thread and waste forum bandwith to post "FIRST".
It's annoying, stupid, and a worthless post. I vote MMI put in a 24 hour ban rule to people who post "FIRST" on the first reply and waste forum space.

I'd say instead of petty infractions that don't go away forever you should hand out minor bans for a lot of things... On other forums, if you get past the filter, post something inappropriate or whatever you get banned after a certain amount of times for a day, a week, or whatever depending on how often it occurs.
