Signature Policy

I tried to view the Forum Rules, but all I'm getting is a blank white page when I go here: http://www.modmyi.com/forums/chit-ch...rum-rules.html.

Is there a policy for signatures as far as links to other websites, etc? Thanks.

I figured it would be better to ask first. I noticed some of the other member had links and images in their signatures.

Images are fine, but no links to promote yourself or you website. unless your a dev. the other members with links... they should be and will be removed

The admins have the power to set signature permissions with vBulletin. These can found when you edit your signature. It of course doesn't outline the exact content they want or do not want displayed in your signature.

But he was asking because he displays w*w.izillapod.com in it. I would think it would be ok because its a .jpg or .png, and it doesn't hyperlink.

I disagree bteamer. I think that signature would be classified as spam, hyperlink or not.

I understand that it may be a questionable signature, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to classify it as spam. Most forum spam consists of links to external sites, with the dual goals of increasing search engine visibility and generating more traffic, usually through the use of automated spambots. My simple image signature did nothing of the sort because it did not contain a hyperlink or any form of deceptive linking. Instead, my signature would do nothing but make users aware of my website. In the event that they are interested, it would require the user's consent to visit my website since they would manually have to type the URL in their address bar. I will work on a revised signature, but I just wanted to make it clear that I have no intentions of spamming this website.
