Can we get a repair forum going?
I think it would be a good idea to get an "iPhone Repair" sub-forum going. I mean, it's already weird enough that I'd be attempting to post on the Buy/Sell/Trade when I have a water-damage question (that's where one1's repiar thread is), but the restriction on new users with low post counts (1st poast, myself; yay!) makes it useless for users who come here to ask repair questions.
I'd like to share my experience and any solution that I/we find. I guess I'll PM one1 to see if he can help me anyway.

I'm sure you know this, but if not- you can always post it in "General iPhone Chat"... A repair forum would be pretty neat, though.

It's a good idea, and a bad liability.

Yeah, but standard "Use at your own risk" disclaimers are the norm in DIY FAQs, tutorials, and guides in any forum. If anything, the B/S/T forum is a liabilty! "Fixing" is no more of a liability than "modifying" IMO, and that's what this forum is all about!
So true!
The problem with that is that it's either done privately in PMs even when it should be shared publicly or it's only in the B/S/T forums, which new-comers in-need can't participate in.

Thanks! I have since seen and used the mod/repair forum, forgetting that it wasn't always there.
Of course, that's where the projects in your sig belonged all along!
