MMI locks up my safari
I tested this out over the period of 2 weeks before posting and it is MMI that has been locking my safari up. It has happened with just one window open, but seems to happen mostly with two tabs open.

This very same thing is happening to me. Everything is fine with one window open only crashes once in a while, But as soon as I open a second tab... Bam it crashes
I don't really see how it could be MMi. could it?

I can do it anywhere else on the web with no issues. ONLY when an MMI window is open and/or loading (mostly loading).
PS- I am one of the few who did not update to 10.5.5 until Apple works the kinks out, so I am running on tried and true 10.5.4 that has been good for many months with no issues so I am on a stable release.
Only MMI does this to me. If I do not come to MMI and load the site and cookie everything is fine. Like I say, I took 2 weeks to keep trying everything until i was very sure.

the last safari update was awful. If you got it a couple weeks ago you're screwed
i might as well add that yes i know the last safari update is the problem. My safari worked just fine for 9 months or so and as of that update mmi crashes it. I can't tell you what changed but I do know for a fact that its the update that did it to me since no code has been changed
anyways. make a new account on your mac and try safari. does it crash? Any why is this is site suggestions instead of the mac troubleshooting forums where it should be noob :PLast edited by Cody Overcash; 12-05-2008 at 09:31 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Cause THIS SITE crashes my safari.
I SUGGEST somehow we find out why.
SAFARI works fine everywhere else.
So I am SUGGESTING to the SITE that you find a way to not make it crash SAFARI.

and im telling you to do what i say and make a new user account and see if it crashes safari

not a user account here. a user account on your mac since I have done the safari POS troubleshooting a couple days ago and fixed my safari and now my safari does not crash on THIS site
I HAVE found out why. The last safari update sucks and has caused random ppl all over the internets to have a random site crash for just them. IT is a common issue with SAFARI
see I can use caps to emphasize words too
along with some smily abuse. I haven't gotten to the point of using different smilies yet though you got me there
edit and if it turns out to not be safari then I can somehow do hokas pokas and try to figure out why safari hates the site but as it stands mine no longer crashes sooo
Safari fails = 1 MMi not safari compatible = unconfirmedLast edited by Cody Overcash; 12-05-2008 at 10:10 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

All tested, MMI does indeed lock me down into a spinning wheel of death. Dunno what is in the code triggering it, but it's something that isn't meshing with Safari. Maybe I'd get some helpful info in debug mode?

On the other hand, Safari is a nasty browser. Why are you using it, one1?

Safari is perfect in every way in the 6 years I have used it with zero issues in any way until the latest 2 Vbull updates. It is also the fastest browser for Mac by far and yes I've tested all of them and don't care to argue.
All the Mac publishers agree.
