How long does it take for an app/theme to be approved?

I submitted my theme to ROCK 4 days ago...
How long does it take for the review process to take place?

Just wondering if anybody can estimate or something...

As far as i know, Kyle, the creator of Modmyi has to approve/reject every theme, app, whatever. Because of this you can't really know how long it will take. But it usually only takes a day after you submit it. I submit updates for my theme a lot and it takes from 1 hour, to 2 days for him to approve/reject it.

Check out my theme in cydia, its called "iVine" without the quotations.

Everything we publish to the MMi repo has to be viewed/approved and then packaged for the repo which takes approx. 25 minutes, depending on the # of requests coming in it can take a few days before you will see it.

Ok, 2 question, if he rejects it. Will he tell me why he rejected it? And will he rejected it, if my name is in the theme name?

He always says the exact reason he rejected your package. And you can use your name for the package. If you package gets rejected you can fix it and submit it again.

Yes, why wouldn't you? You will receive an E-Mail whether or not it has been approved/rejected.

I have had a package accepted my Modmyi before. It only takes about half a day to a day!

New to posting, just submitted a theme. Did a search on cydia and it seems there is a theme with a very similar name will that effect the approval. Its a Derby COunty theme with custom wallpaper, wifi logos, folder backgrounds and dialler.

The similar name will not affect the acceptance of the theme so there's no worry on that aspect. Although from looking at the images you've attached they might not accept it because of it's not original enough. I posted a theme once that was similar to yours: dialer, wallpaper, folder images. But it didn't get accepted because it was too plain. That's what they said at least.

Post the theme and wait for the reply. If it gets accepted great, if not no worries. Just make the adjustments they recommended and repost it.

It will be through a Modmyi message and an email. Give it time, they are busy folk. If the response is lagging on (2 1/2 weeks), submit it again. Don't worry, you will get an email/message when it has been accepted/rejected.
