RockApp VS. Cydia

So I searched all over the forums for a RockApp vs Cydia poll, and I didnt find one, so I opened this one...

Aparrently RockApp just updated to 2.0 which made it capable of adding repos just like cydia. So which do you think is better?
Rock App or Cydia?

I prefer Rock App, why? Because its really fast, it supports backups, did I mention really fast? Has push notifications, which is a very useful feature, so u dont have to open up cydia just to see if u need an update or not....

But dosent rockapp do everything cydia does? And more? I feel like cydia is using up the system resources a bit too much

Rock is the Shizzel my Nizzels and its the futur!!

+ the managemenet section keeps track of everything you had in cydia after a firmware update so you can reinstall every fun app you had serioulsy the best thing that happened to the iphone in years!!

Hi

Hm ok I feel something fishy about this Rock app.

Yes it is smart and the UI is slick, except for some tiny menues but thats ok as long as you have no probs with your eyes. To simply sum it up, for me it is like:

pros

- more convenient than Cydia
- faster
- ability to backup installed apps via user account

cons

- diggs deeeeeeeeeep into your system
- bricks your device when uninstalled (recovery necessary)
- tiny menues

fishy thoughts

- Is it spyware? Dunno. At least it looks very commercial. What bothers me is this spyware thing. I can't help myself but I am a little paranoid about that.

What do you think?

xtraa: Are you serious?

1) What does diggs deeep into your system mean? This is a rumor spread by anti-rockers. While I have no idea what "digging" even means - we do no more adjustments then Cydia does. We simply install unix file system support - the same as Cydia in fact. There's really no differences there.
2) There was a problem 7 months ago when uninstalling rock. There's no problem at all now.
3) Yes - we need to make some of the buttons bigger

Are there currently any incompatibilities between Rock and Cydia? I have heard a lot of rumors flying around. What exactly are the facts here?

I have Rock installed but I'm a little nervous to use it beyond updating itself. I heard something about incompatibilities between Rock and mobilesubstrate. Is this true?

Well so far I have not had any major issues on running both apps (cydia & RYP) but I must admit that RYP is just cool but does not offer all the Shizzel Cydia does do I would have to retake my first comment and give Cydia a 2 thumbs up!!!

So, if I have a bunch of apps from cydia that require mobilesubstrate, such as winterboard, I cannot install an app like MyWi from Rock that requires rock extensions to work? That sucks.
