Default How to make CLEAR ringtone??????

ok i have made lots of ringtones doing the itunes trick (picking song then cutting to 30 seconds then renaming)

but it just seems that its not clear at all and to much bass to them

i have tried using audacity to fix it but cant seem to make it really clear

a friend has a couple legally made ringtones and they sound perfect

anyone know settings to make it really clear? or any tips?

    thanks

If your running a WinPC, you can download a program called IRinger (google it, its free), it will take any mp3 you have, allow you to cut a section out for your ringtone and AUTOMATICALLY sticks it into your "ringtones" section of Itunes! All you do is sync. I do all mine that way and they sound perfect.

Try making them from a song in your iTunes library. The previews in iTunes are distorted.
Don't forget the Thanks if I helped

Gotcha....well, I also use audiocity, it works well. You just have to get used to all the editing options. Once you get the hang of it, it should work good.

I made a few last night, and was messing around with that. You need to use the high pass filter. When you click it, it will ask for a value, in Hz I believe. I found 150 to work the best.

    In audacity, that is.
