Ringtones the really easy way.

Open you iphone in WINSCP and open the iphone folders, Library/Ringtones. These are your "standard" ringtones. this is where we will be putting them. Find the song you want to add in your itunes library then do the changing to AAC, then shortening, you dont need to readd the song into itunes, just make sure you know where you saved it. Now, back to WISCP, find the song you just saved, right click it, go to properties, and change the file extention to "M4r". it will ask you if you want to do that, hit yes. Now its good to go. Copy that file into Library/Ringtones and its there. So far this has worked with full length songs and 30 seond clips. it can be assinged to contacts and everything. Enjoy your new ringtones.

Yes Sir!!

It is so true....Simple steps to freedom....Please dont forget to dl BossTools so your apps, ringtones and fonts go to the main partition. Then you can library/ringtones and drag all ur RT's here... Make sure after you convert them into AAC in itunes you drag them out to the desktop and change the file to ".m4r". :>

yes that is very easy way to convert them /

here are 4 of my favorite songs that sound really great as a ringtone

These songs are already converted to m4r.

use any ftp or ssh tool and place them in folder Ringtones

It's not working for me... the files are already AAC, I copied them to my desktop, then changed the extension, then dumped them into library/ringtones and rebooted the phone, but they don't show...

help? lol

yea I already use that but for some reason I can't convert some songs FROM AAC and that site won't cut an AAC file.
