Make Ringtones in iTunes for FREE

OK guys, in this guide i will show you a detailed method on how to make ringtones for free.

Step 1: Make sure that in your importing settings that you import using AAC Encoding.

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 2:Right click on any song in your library (not purchased through iTunes) and click Get Info.

Click the image to open in full size.

You should get a screen that looks like this;

Click the image to open in full size.

Good, Now click on the Options tag. You will want to set a start time for your ringtone and a stop time. A good ringtone should be about 30 seconds, but it's your ringtone so make your own rules.

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 3:Now right-click the song you just edited and click Convert Selection to AAC. This should only take a matter of seconds to complete.

Congratulations, you have now made a ringtone using a iTunes for free.

Click the image to open in full size.

Now just go back into the info on your original song and unclick start time and stoptime.

Your song will be in your iTunes music folder under the band the song is from.

Now you can use your favorite iPhone file transfer software to put this song in your Ringtones folder in your iPhone.

You can follow this method to get the (free) custom ringtones into iTunes

No jailbreaking required, even!

Check this out.

This will make the custom ringtone syncable to iPhone like any purchased one from the Ringtones folder in iTunes. . .

How is this supposed to work? It changes it to m4a and don't only m4r files work for ringtones?

I did the whole process and used iBrickr to put it in my Ringtones folder on my phone. Didnt work.
