Works great. Thanks! A tip for people that can't change the file extension. you have to go to folder options > advanced. and select show file extensions

I figured it out; I had to change my importing options from MP3 to AAC. Works like a charm now, Thanks.

You have to enable file extensions. This was covered a few pages back.

Edit: it was covered on the first post on this page too.

I use iRinger to make my ringtones and it's simple. The interface let's you import any mp3 from your library and manipulate it into a ringtone. You can select up to 30 seconds of the mp3, adjust the fade in/out, and the volume. You are able to fine tune what part of the track you want down to the hundredth of a second. Once you're done, you click export and you name your track and iRinger sends it to your ringtone folder in itunes automatically.
