Have some HQ videos myself and would like to give it a go...

Edit: I kind figured it ou, got the software you mentioned in another thread, even got it to crop the vid to the right size, but when I set is a a ringtone is gets too small. Any idea which option I have to check to make it appear fullscreen?

I've been making some of my own lately as well, but I've been having trouble getting the video to fit the whole screen. How'd you manage to get it to fit the full screen? I've been using Aimersoft and somehow cannot figure it out...maybe its cause the videos I have tried are widescreen already and that's messing with it. What's your method man?

There's a .pdf on this board somewhere with a step by step tut.
Can't check it for you know, but I think these were the steps:

1. open the video
2. trim the video
3. crop the video (keep the setting to fullscreen and just guess which size it should be on the iPhone. On a widescreen vid you have to crop of a whole bunch from the sides.
4. click on "setting" and change the dimensions to 320 x 480 ( I think the default is 480 x 320). This causes your vid to be shown in fullscreen.
5. convert it and watch for the preview window: if it shows black bars on top/bottom or left/right, you can cancel it and redo step 3: if you have bars on the top/bottom, make the crop smaller. If you have them on the sides, make the crop wider. Hit convert again and check.


If there's an easier solution to step 5 and getting the video fullscreen I would love to hear it

well what i do is I go under crop, I crop the vid and then under Zoom I select Full Screen.. you'll have to play around with ur dimensions so that the vid doesnt look to stretched out

i dont think u can just SSH MiVtones into your phone.. im pretty sure only way is to download via cydia/installer.. sry cant pot it.. try reading through ifonetec.com

i dont think theres an easier solution to step 5 lol
most of my vids are produced after many trials & errors.. its annoying but i think the pay off is well worth it.. i just wish there were more HQ vids out there that are more accessible because I only like my video ringtones when the video isnt distorted haha

How do you change the resolution in Aimersoft to 320*480?

I can only see 480*320 so when converted it makes the video small and lots of black either side. Even though my cropped video is around 320*480.

Its ok I figured it out. You just overtype it!

It's a tough one but i would really enjoy a High Quality Mivtone of a Cloverfield Scene. any Scene with the Monster in it would be cool. Preferably with loud sounds. I would REALLY appreciate this. Many Many Thanks to anyone that can get it for me THANKS!
