Was wondering if there was a working gtalk client App that is not a web app. As a web app its just crappy. I hate the layout and the fact that it's not real-time, it just refreshes the page every 20-30 seconds using up bandwidth. It also doesn't work well unless you want to have that page up all the time. I'm talking something like (or close to) the official client for the blackberry. Maybe someone has made something similar? Or perhaps knows of google making an official app for the iphone now that apple will be allowing this. I would even be willing to pay for it (5-10 bucks), though I know that is not the google way

Have you actually used the gtalk function of this? I am assuming you are speaking of the app "MobileChat"? The gtalk function is buggy at best. Aside from logging you in, it really does nothing else! I ONCE was able to bring up the friends list but there was nobody on it. Logging onto my pc terminal it showed there were 5 people on...
