Hey guys. problem making ringtones with audacity.

hey there, im not sure if this is the correct forum for this but i am trying to make some ringtones with audacity. ive taken the sampled part and moved it to my itunes and converted it to the ACC file. then changed the m4a to m4r. what now? its labeled as a ringtone when i look at it in the "get info" part of itunes. ive tried drag and dropping it into the ringtone category but it doesnt work. its a 25 second clip.

Isnt there some sort of nonsense regarding DRM that prevents this method?

Once you have your 30 second clip created by audacity, transfer it to iTunes and convert it to aac (once in iTunes click on music under library, right click on file and select "convert to AAC"). Then drag the file over to your desktop, change its .m4a extension to .m4r (you will get a warning box pop up just select ok, and drag over to "ringtones" in iTunes. Sync your iphone and away you go.
