I have been back to the first page a hundred times thinking I am missing a step. I followed it to the "t."
- I had to download and install Audacity (I didn't have it)
- Opened up a file, trimmed it down to 22 seconds
- Saved file as .wav
- Imported file into iTunes
- Converted file to AAC
- Opened up file in explorer and renamed from .m4a to .m4r
- Double clicked file in iTunes, iTunes plays song
- Song DOES NOT transfer to ringtones area
- Checked song info to make sure it is listed as ringtone/.m4r, it was
- Rebooted
- Restarted iTunes
- Tried all over with phone connected/unconnected
Doesn't work.
I implore someone to look at this AVI file I created using screen capture to show you my exact steps in the process and tell me what I did wrong:
