Which version of iTune do I use with an unlocked 1.1.1???

hey...I have an unlocked 1.1.1 iphone

I want to know which version of iTunes I should use to upload music to avoid getting bricked...I'm using 7.4.3.1 at the moment - will I risk bricking my phone by using this version??

A friend of mine told me to downgrade to 7.3.054...what do I do?
