The iPad 3G arrives tomorrow. The iPad WiFi has been around a month almost now. Socks have been around since the 8th century B.C. iPads need socks too, right? Back in 2004, Apple released a 6 pack of socks to throw your iPod in (and they still sell them, actually). iPadSock.net has now followed suit with a lovely wrap of fabric for your iPad.

For $14.95 (and free shipping thanks, guys), they'll ship you the color of your choice (well, of their 9 color choices). They're designed to protect your iPad from dirt, dust, and scratches and they do that well. A good idea for around the house/office, or tossing in a bag with other stuff. Obviously this won't protect your iPad from any significant jolts or drops it's a sock.

The iPad fits in smoothly, with a bit of stretch in the sock. The sock holds the iPad fairly tightly, and can be used to wipe off the screen as well, which is nice. It's not micro-fiber or anything, but cleans well enough in a pinch.

Oddly enough, there's a little tag with the iPad text Apple uses, as well as a (somewhat-misshapen) Apple logo, just like Apple puts on their iPod socks. I guess you can get away with that when you're manufactured in Hong Kong, at least until Apple HK gets ahold of you. Until then, order away at iPadSock.net.

Of course it wouldn't be a ModMyi.com review if we didn't have some giveaways as well, so leave a comment about the iPad Sock, and Saturday I'll choose two winners, one for the orange iPad sock pictured, and one for the pink.
