Default iphone 4 upgrade to 5.1.1 and JB?
    Here is my predicament

I currently have an iphone 4 running ios 4.3.3 BaseBand 04.10.01. I also have a chinese Gevey Unlock SIM which only costs me 2 or 3 dollars but it does work and allows me to use a UK Vodafone Sim in the phone which is locked to UK T-Mobile. the phone is also Jailbroken.

I want to upgrade to IOS 5.1.1 (due to a lot of apps now requires IOS v5+)

I have tried going through the process of upgrading to v5.1.1 while preserving baseband using redsn0w and i got nearly all the way through but i got the iTunes error 3194.

My question is, is there anyway to install IOS 5.1.1 on the iphone now?
The only reason for preserving baseband is so I can use my Gevey Unlock SIM which requires 04.10.01 or under.
I , however, did read that ultrasnow fixer is a software unlocker for IOS 5.1.1 but Im not sure if it would work on my baseband 04.10.01

I cant get the phone unlocked as it was bought from a random on ebay. Some shops will unlock it for 100 GBP but I dont want to pay all that as it costs more than the phone is probably worth.

I dont want to upgrade to IOS 6 either as my Gevey doesnt work on IOS 6.

Is there anything I can do install IOS 5.1.1 and then jailbreak it?

If ya don't have the shsh blobs for that firmware you can't update to that one.

if so my only hope is to wait for a Gevey for iphone 4 on IOS 6!

Yes it's true. Unless ya can git ya phone unlocked with ya IMEI number. And don't have to worry about baseband again.
