4.2.1 -> 6.0.1 -> 4.3.5? Jailbreaking and upgrading issue
So...
I have an AT&T Iphone 4 with no SIM card.
I had iOS 4.2.1, and was going to update to 4.3.5 (last SHSH blobs saved).. it went through most of the update process and then returned an error and would just from then on tell me to connect to itunes... went through the update process several more times with the same error... So I went ahead and updated to 6.0.1.
Now, I was hoping I could go to 4.3.5 like I originally wanted, so I created a stitched 4.3.5 ipsw using my SHSH blobs, but itunes still returns an 3194 error when trying to restore.
Is there anyway I can go from 6.0.1 to 4.3.5? I have my SHSH blobs and the downloaded stock 4.3.5 ipsw, but itunes will not restore it without giving errors, and itunes always seems to detect any TinyUmbrella host file changes

Try with Redsnow only, without iTunes. You have everything what is necessary.

There is no point in going to 4.3.5. A untethered jailbreak was never released for that firmware.

Don't use redsnow to restore. Use tiny umbrella, save your 4.3.3 SHSH to your computer then start the TSS server. Put the phone in DFU then restore to 4.3.3 in iTunes. You will get an error near the end of the process, this is normal. Close tiny umbrella and itunes, open redsnow and choose the recovery fix option.

So I got through most of that but the recovery fix stays on "Waiting for reboot" and doesn't do anything. I have already selected the IPSW before I started the recovery fix and chose iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw
Any ideas?

Try tiny umbrella's recovery fix. Make sure to enter dfu mode for it to work.

How to Use Sn0wbreeze 2.7 to Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 on Windows? [Untethered]Jaxov
Using snowbreeze and a custom firmware you shouldn't get any errors at the end of the restore. So shouldnt need recovery fix.

One more issue. I tried to add the Iphone back to my AT&T account tonight, but they told me "Everything that I am seeing, is showing that the iPhone is added, it is just that the activation is being delayed."
When i did the jailbreak, I did NOT have the SIM card in it, now that I added the sim card and want to use it on my AT&T account, I'm getting this and all calls are failing. Could my jailbreak without a SIM card cause the phone not to function properly now that I added the SIM card back to it?Last edited by Schism; 01-24-2013 at 11:46 PM.

Sounds like you hactivated. You can use redsnow or SAM to deactivate. Then put your ATT sim in the phone and connect to itunes.
