I am using a iPhone 4 with version 4.3.1. I purchased it from a friend. I have no history of the phone whether it was factory unlocked or not. Is there a way to know which unlock method has been used on the phone. I am getting a lot of no service problems which resolves on it's own. Has anyone experienced such an issue.

iccid it shows no sim but sim is working in diffrent iphone
manual carrier option it shows unable to load carrier list
