iPhone4 - iOS 5.0.1 - redsn0w win 0.9.10b3 --- keeps getting stuck on reboot

I currently have an iPhone4 - iOS 5.0.1 jail broken with - redsn0w win 0.9.10b3

Each time over the last two reboots, my phone gets stuck on the Apple boot logo. Nothing further and it stays there indefinitely.

I've now restored the phone for the 2nd time and I'm about to jail break again, but I'm trying to figure out what's happening so I can reboot w/out fear from this point forward.

n/m...I think I may know what was causing it. When trying to jail break on my laptop, the process fails. I then took it to my girl friends computer and it worked. But I think this corrupted something so when you reboot the next time, the phone locks up.

Both times I've tried to jb on my laptop, this occurred and I'd moved over to the gf's laptop. Also, when it fails on my laptop, the redsn0w app will not run again until the phone is rebooted...it errors out each time.

This last time, I did the jb from my gf's computer first.

I've rebooted after every 3 jail broken apps installed and have yet to have an issue.

What os on machines?...I would make sure u r running rs in xp sp2 compatibility mode and run as administrator....

this works perfect on beta 3 just wait when it comes up it works

Yeah, this last time, I ran it that way because her laptop is Win 7. The first two times I used her system, it ran fine w/out compatibility mode, the redsn0w wouldn't run at all this last time until that mode.

I would follow some sort of guide, like the one posted here. Make sure you are running the latest version, I believe redsn0w beta 4 is the latest. Also, do not update to iOS 5.1 because that will break the jailbreak. Hope this helps!

This issue is still happening. I've followed the instructions from the getgo when the unteathered jb was first released. I used the latest redsn0w each time. I've used both Win XP and a Win 7 in XP SP 2 and XP SP 3 modes. It's still happening.

I'm sure it's something that's being carried over when I'm restoring that was backed up from the very first jb. If you've ever loaded a jail break more than once, you'll notice certain settings come back each time even after you've restored and re-jailbroke. Some settings, even for jail broken apps, are backed up in the Apple back up and loaded back on the phone during a "restore from backup" I think it's something here that's catching my reboot and freezing it.

Funny thing is, the time before this last reload/restore/jb, I rebooted after every jail broken app and none of them froze the phone. But then a reboot or two later after I was done, it froze up.

IDK what it is, but would love to find and delete it so I could know that I could reboot my phone. Hell, this is just like a tethered jb right now.

Don't restore from backup...I never do! I have everything backed up outside of iTunes backup!...

The past two restores have been from the cloud. Same concern? If you're not using iTunes or the cloud, what are you using to back up your system that allows you to do a restore?
