iPhone 3GS 4.3.5 Baseband 6.15.00 unable to boot tethered
Alright, so i didnt make this stupid mistake, I bought this phone for my sister off of craigslist, what I failed to notice was that it was on the ipad baseband, but the guy gave it to me booted into a non-tethered state, so safari and cydia crash. So my first thought was to download the redsn0w version for it, and then boot tethered from the 4.3.5 firmware file, it got stuck at waiting for reboot, so i tried the 4.3.4 ipsw file and it did the same thing, then i tried it with itunes, same thing, every time it gets stuck on a white screen and refuses to reboot. Also, my computer running windows xp does something that is odd, it pings twice like it has identified two devices and then says it doesnt recognize the iphone and that i need to install the driver for it, if someone is really interested enough to help i can upload some pics or a video of my issue! My sisters bday is in three days and iv done all i can think of! So help is much appriciated, thanks!
I've come across an issue like that before... Two things spring to mind.... Are you using a data cable you had previously or is it one that was supplied to you? Usually that double ping that you hear is the USB connecting & then a few seconds later disconnecting... Can you connect another apple device to the xp machine without it disconnecting? If you can let me know I might be able to help further. Cheers
