preserve bb with redsnow?

I read somewhere that it is better to preserve bb and jb with snowbreeze if you have ifaith blobs and want to use for future downgrades, is this true
Right now I'm debating to untether my i4 with latest redsnow since I have only a single blob for ios 4 created with iFaith .
And since snowbreeze hasn't been updated to a untether jb I'm stuck waiting, what should I do?
I really want to upgrade and jb with latest redsnow, but want to be sure that I can go back to Ios 4 using my iFaith blobs since I don't have any TU blobs that I can use.

I had preserved BB w snowbreeze when I went to 5.0 from 4.3.3 and to 5.0.1 then JB w redsnow...I have 3GS..I just went back down to 4.2.1 with ifaith blobs I had dumped way back then...I used the latest ifaith and it worked!...no more 5.x or 4.3.3!
