Default Cydia 1.1.1 Crashes in iOS5.0.1 JB with RedSnow0.9.9b8

Just JB my Iphone4.0 yesterday-12/1 using RS0.9.9b8. Originally my firmware was 4.3.5, updated to 5.0.1 and followed exactly the JB process by pointing to firmware 5.0. Just downloaded the iOS5.0 ipsw file and did not update the phone's firmware from 4.3.5 to 5.0 then to 5.0.1. I did the firmware update directly from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1. My PC is with WinXP OS. At first attempt, Cydia icon was white after the JB process and crashes immediately while opening (won't even open). After several trials, I thought I successfully JB my phone since Cydia icon became normal, I can open it and able to restore my apps/synch with iTunes. All other phone functions are normal including Safari. My current problems are :

1- Cydia crashes/closes when I try to tap the text field in Search Tab.
2- Cydia crashes/closes when I tap Add in trying to add repository. Thus, I haven't performed yet the semi-tether process because of this problem since I cannot add BigBoss repo.
3- I cannot synch/download my photo's from iTunes. iTunes 10.5 always hung up during the synch process while I have managed to synch Apps, Music, Calendars, etc. I am not sure about the Videos as I couldn't pass the synching process in Photos.

Again, my Cydia version as displayed on my phone is 1.1.1. BTW, I also tried using Iphone Explorer to delete the files inside var except the partial folder (nothing inside), it still didn't solve my problems.

If I need to redo the JB process,
1- Do I need to restore first in iTune and redo the JB process?
2- Or, I can just perform again the JB process?

    Please help and advise.
    Thanks,
    Rey

My friend, you should know this is a tethered jailbreak. A tether boot from Redsn0w will solve your problem.

    iYeow,
Thanks for your feedback. Of course I know its a tethered JB which requires me to have a computer by my side when I boot up. That's not the issue. I can successfully boot but each time, same problems occurred. And, that's the reason why I raised those issues here to hopefully find solutions!

Do another restore and rejailbreak again. i am jailbroken at 5.0.1 with redsn0w 0.9.9b8 on my iphone 4 and have no issue at all.

Ops, that means I need to hit "restore from back up" in iTunes (before I performed my first JB), re-JB and reset up everything after re-JB? Whew! So, no other work around?

BTW, what if I just redo the JB process without restoring, i.e., instead of just hitting "Just Reboot" in Redsnow, I will perform JB again?

No, you restore to 5.0.1 and setup as new iphone and then do your jailbreak. Don't setup as a backup restore as you are transferring your previous problematic backups over to the newly restored iphone.

OK, so just hitting the "Restore". But, it says restore to factory settings? Will it changed back my OS to 4.3.5 or remain at 5.0.1? And, I just lose all the other data I have?

A restore puts your iphone into factory settings , you should be at 5.0.1

    Hi,
Just restored my phone last night. I haven't JB yet but, already found that I still cannot synch my photos with iTunes 10.5.1 even after a clean restore. I am able to synch my apps, music and videos. I saw some threads about deleting voice memo to solve this issue but, I couldn't find any voice memos both in my phone and itunes so, I still have this won't synch problem with photos in itunes.
