I'm using iPhone 4 with iOS 5 tethered. I saw there are available updates on Cydia (one is sth called ios5 xxx, another one is androidlockXT). So I simply clicked the updates... I didn't pay much attention but I remembered there are error messages during updates, then it asks me to restart springboard. After that it is a black screen with a circle in the center (which means loading). The center icon spins once then freezed, after a minute it spins once again then freezed.
I tried to use redsn0w (0.9.9b6) "just boot" but after pineapple it appears to same black screen with the icon.
Im having what appears to be the identical problem. iPhone 4 iOS 5 Jailbroken tethered boot. I was in cydia, but not specifically updating anything, and it crashed to a frozen loading wheel. I have sirin1ght 0.03 installed. Every time I attempt to boot tethered it just goes back to the frozen loading wheel. im going to attempt to re-jailbreak, but i dont think its gonna work. please let me know if you figure out anything.
random note, ive been leaving mine in its frozen wheel state for a while and it randomly will start spinning every once in a while. im gonna leave alone for an extended period of time to see if anything happens.
i had something like this happen to. i just kept messing with it and finally got it to factory restore. Then i had i just reloaded all my apps back in.
