where do I get the ispw file to use in redsnow?

I need to use the Gevey SIM and want to go with autoprogram instead of manual. hey tell me I have to use redsnow instead of jailbreakme in order for it to work.


I did a back up with Ifaith. I also used their option to create an ispw with my saved SHSH blurb but have no idea where the 666 MB file saved to .

I have FW 4.3.3 on an IP4 with the modem at 4.10.01. I'm using redsnow 0.9.6rc18. I caant get past the first step where it says browse for the ispw file as I'm not sure which one they are talking about.

Anyone know how to get to what they want? I obviously cant or dont know how to back up in Itunes as the only option is to back up then upgrade which I dont want to do.

unless i'm mistaken i cant back up my 4.3.3 in itunes because it only gives that option to also upgrade. If I upgrade and loose my baseband i'm loose my ability to use Gevey Sim.

Can I just back up the ipsw file in ifaith and have it add the firmware or what is my best bet to get the ipsw file? I'm not sure where or how I would get stock, apple or official fw.

You can use ifaith to dump and create a custom firmware of 4.3.3 for you to restore to 4.3.3 again.

Just jailbreak with Redsn0w, you can backup shsh blob using ifaith in case you need to restore.

Redsn0w 0.9.9.8B/0.9.9.7B automatic do all that for you. Just need to know how to put in DFU mode.
