Default JB of 5.0 for my 3GS seems to work untethered for me

I upgraded my 3GS to iOS 5.0 and then JB'd it with redsn0w 0.9.9b7. I selected the verbose option just because I was curious. Everything went fine. I got Cydia and I've installed all my favorite stuff. But I have rebooted several times and it starts up just fine. It gets to the Apple logo and then switches to the text part of the boot. Then there's after a lot of text has scrolled by it pauses for maybe thirty seconds and then I'm in. I can access everything and all my JB stuff works.

I have not installed the semi-tethered patch.

I don't get it. Why can I reboot untethered? Not that I am complaining.

Verbose boot just tells you what's going on while it's booting up, usually just for developers/hackers. And the reason you can boot untethered is because you have an old bootrom 3GS. Download f0recast for WINDOWS or MAC to be sure. The old bootrom should always be untethered unless Apple fixes that somehow.
