Default Install iPad Baseband 06.15 on 3gs 5.0 using redsn0w 0.9.9b6 For Windows Users?

Is it possible to Install iPad the Baseband 06.15 on a 3gs iphone running the 5.0 firmware using redsn0w 0.9.9b6 for windows users?

The mac version of redsn0w 0.9.9b6 allows you to select a check box to install the ipad baseband, but I am not seeing this option in the windows version of redsn0w 0.9.9b6.

Does anyone know how this can be done?

    Thanks

It is possible to instal the iPad Baseband with the last redsn0w 0.9.9b7, download it from the dev team blog. The option will appear only if redsn0w detect you have an iphone 3gs

bonkerbirds, did you manage to get iPad Baseband loaded on your 3GS?

Against my better judgement I installed the iPad Baseband using redsn0w 0.9.9b7 on my 3GS running custom 4.3.3 (loaded with sn0wbreeze) and am now having the GPS issue, which I was hoping was fixed (some posts on this forum seemed to indicate some people did not encounter the issue). Is there any chance that going to 5.0/5.0.1 or even 4.3.5 (tethered) will help with this issue?

No , by updating the firmware you will not fix the gps problem with is caused by the baseband, not by the firmware . If you know what you are doing and you like playing with your iphone, save the shsh for 4.3.3 and update to 5.0 to see how is your iphone performing on this firmware. But for now 4.3.3 is the best option for a jailbroken new bootrow 3gs

Thanks ovidiu, that's what I was afraid of. I think I will stay at 4.3.3 if there is no hope of the GPS being fixed. Does anyone know if the devteam is still working on this issue or have they given up on it?

Argh, so my 'unlocked' iPhone still won't work 100% with another provider, I tried tonight to switch to Bell SIM but realized there was no way to edit APN settings on my phone (Cellular Data menu not present, just on or off). I tried unlockit.co.nz profile for Bell, no luck. The APN Editor app in Cydia fails to install on my phone. So now I've got no GPS and a crippled (no data) unlocked phone, great

if you updated to the 6.15.00 Baseband and your 3Gs is the NEW bootrom than your GPS will NOT function.
From what I have read the only 3Gs that has a functioning GPS after 6.15.00BB update are the OLD Bootrom versions

Here is a link I found that helps on -> how to find out the bootrom version of your iphone <-

    Hope this helps you
