**alert!**cydia crashes iphone after respring/reboot??

i screwed up and had this phone right it turns out... i was too dumb to figure out what tether reboot REALLY meant! Now Cydia wont load correctly. All I get it a grey icon box. I have restored numerous times and installed cydia as well.

I used iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your iPhone 4 Using RedSn0w (Mac) [5.0] instructions.

Please let me know what I can do..

Not sure if you got your issue solved but it turns out you probably did the JB correctly. If you got the white type Cydia icon labeled Cydia, it worked.

Now what you must do is shut off the device again, then open up Redsnow's interface that you used to JB but this time hit Extras. Select Just Boot (first option). Make sure to follow prompts of course and have your phone off. Follow the step by step instructions it gives you in the countdown to do DFU mode or before even hitting next, have the phone in DFU mode first and it will automatically find your phone and reboot it.

Once its done again, you will get the pineapple logo instead of the apple logo. Now go to your Cydia icon and it will be all ready for you, nice and brown--just the way you remember it.

Then you need to load Cydia and do you Essential Upgrade and you're ready. Just keep in mind it's tougher to manage this tethered JB. I've had issues with it but now I've gotten around them by trial and error and a lot of great help from the members here.

You'll do fine, just try this out and it will work perfect. Plus, if you look at Redsnow's interface, it has a FAQ section and it tells you this exact same thing.
