iPhone 3G iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak help
I just updated my iPhone 3G to iOS 4.2.1 and I am trying to jailbreak it with Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 but it keeps getting stuck on the "Uploading ramdisk" phase...can someone please help? What should I do?

Run redsn0w 0.9.6b6 and browse to stock 4.2.1 firmware , perform the jailbreak.

thank you guys the affinity to one processor worked for me as well...
Awesome
For those not familiar:
1) Start redsn0w
2) Popup the Windows Task Manager and select the redsn0w program in the list of processes.
3) right click and select "Set Affinity"
4) deselect everything except CPU0
5) Continue with your normal redsn0w jailbreaking

I've tried to jailbreak my iphone 3G, i've done redsn0w, ultrasn0w... none of this is working. I am trying to jailbreak from the carrier sim I originally had in another country. Where the service shows in top left hand corner it just says either 'Searching...' or 'No Service.' Can anybody help!?
Thx

awesome, glad I found this post! 0.9.6b6 kept on crashing no matter what I did (different cable, ports, restart computer, etc), but changed the affinity and voila! no crash! :-D

I can't thank you guys enough. This worked for me. Except I have a single core processor. I set it to "Realtime" and it worked on the first try. BRILLIANT!!

I can't find a trustworthy site that has redsn0w 0.9.6b6. I have tried with redsnow b5-5 but it won't even recognize the stock firmware.
wth?
