Update 3G from 3.0 to 3.0.1 necessary?

I have a 3G jailbroken/unlocked running 3.0

Is there any need for me to update to 3.0.1 ? or am I ok just waiting to 3.1 to be fully worked out?

If I should update 3.0.1, what is the best way to do it, I have found many guides but they require for you to let iTunes officially update to 3.0.1 which cannot be done anymore.

Ditto. Unless you're super paranoid and are really scared some iPhone hacker is going to hack into your phone. Even if I'd still wait =P I'm still on 3.0 and I see no hacking haha.

Cuz I'm too lazy. The thought of rejailbreaking and reinstalling a bunch of stuff is straining my brain lol. I usually do it when I get myself pumped up enough to
sit down and do it

I updated to 3.1 because I got the JB early so I was all pumped up

I'm just waiting for the official dev team release for windows of redsn0w. I've made many mistakes before and I know how to fix them, this time around I just don't want to xD I'm just gonna wait so my lazy bum can take the easy way out

?? Of course I need the unlock! Is it not redsn0w that they will release for windows to jailbreak 3.1? Well if it's another like quickpwn or whatever then that's what I'm waiting for lol. I just need an official release from the dev team on the jailbreak of 3.1 for windows so I can ultrasn0w my phone

Redsn0w and quickpwn can't create custom ipsws.
It would require you to update to the official one before jailbreaking.

There is a windows hack, but to many hoops to jump through to make it happen right now. Gives me chills from the days of 1.1- 1.2
We may see some poison real soon I hear.

Windows hack? Why not just custom restore to pwned 3.1? That's what I did.
