Upgrading to 3.0.1

Hey guys!

Is there a simple format to upgrade from firmware 3.0 to 3.0.1 without loosing all your jailbroken data?

Nope. Any update/restore will cause you to lose your JB. No exceptions. Just stay on 3.0. 3.0.1 just fixes the SMS vulnerability; it doesn't update anything else...so wait for the next update.

By pkgbackup from the cydia store and you can restore all your cydia packages.
There is no reason NOT to upgrade to 3.01

...There really isn't a reason to upgrade. It just fixes the SMS vulnerability. Why go through all the trouble?

The latest redsn0w works for 3.0.1. Point at the 3.0 ispw not the 3.0.1 when running redsn0w.

Be careful you don't upgrade to 3.1 - now Sn0w for that yet.
