Major Help Needed ASAP

So I'm running redsnow, get through the first process of holding down power, power/home, home...but then I get to the part where it shows the harddrive picture and says "downloading jailbreak data"...and it just stays stuck there with the spinning wheel constantly spinning underneath. While the rednow on my computer shows the jailbreak is "done".

What the heck is going on?!?!? I want my iphone back

Try restoring to UNTOUCHED FW3.0 then redsn0w it.

iPhone 3G 3.0 original ipsw -> http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....1_Restore.ipsw

Shift + restore it on iTunes.
Then try redsn0w again.

*This may get your phone locked, so you will have to run ultrasn0w too after redsn0w.

Out of curiousity, I just realized I wasn't running iTunes 8.2...will that matter? Or did I just realize another potential roadblock holding me back?

You NEED iTunes 8.2 in order to use FW3.0!

You also need to have 3.0 running then use redsn0w.
So, first shift+restore to 3.0 like I said, then redsn0w it
