Errors (1) and (5) when updating on iTunes...help!
When I'm using redsn0w, it stays on 'waiting for reboot', then I realized I need to update to 3.0 first. Good for me!
So I put it in DFU mode, loaded my 2G iPhone with the 3.0 software and it extracted and gave me Error (5), then I tried again and it gave me error (1)
Well, now it doesn't turn on, its stuck on DFU mode
Help? Can I restore back to 2.2.1? Or whatever?

Sorry to hear your having trouble. We all screw up sometimes
You'll have to get it in DFU restore/re-jailbreak
try these instructions for DFU
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode.
Alternative Method:
Step 1. Connect iPhone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.
Step 2. Hold the home and power buttons until hear the disconnect sound then release power button.
Step 3. Wait until you hear another sound then release home button.

I have it on DFU mode always now... as soon as I turn on iTunes it tells me my phone is in Recovery Mode. Thats the same thing as DFU, right?
I don't know what to do next. My 3.0 2G firmware just gives me the errors 1 and 5, and I don't know if I can downgrade at all
And the alternative method won't work because my phone doesn't make the sound anymore
Edit: Ahh, stupid me. My Firewall blocked iTunes from upgrading which it usually does itself. And I did check... well lets see if this works once its updated...
