Redsn0w problem with phone 2g

So I'm new here, but I'll assume it works like most forums. I have an iphone 2g, and i was able to get my phone and the jailbreak to install everything. the problem is, when it reboots back, and the apple screen is basically sitting there for about 10 minutes now. I've done this about 3 times now, and it just sits on that black apple screen. What am I doing wrong??? :-(

First, Redsn0w is for unlocking the 3G
Second, are you getting your iPhone into DFUmode?

yeah I am. It got into dfu mode and everything. Ive never had a problem doing it before with previous 2.0 firmware. I'm using windows also.

Here's the rundown:

* Runs on Windows.
* Runs on OS X (Intel only, but they are working out a bug to have PPC support up shortly)
* JAILBREAKS iPhone 3G.
* JAILBREAKS and UNLOCKS iPhone 2G.
* DOES NOTHING to iPhone 3GS.

works like a champ. do a fresh restore to 3.0. run redsn0w, follow on screen instructions to a point. let it do its thing and wait til it reboots back to your homescreen when its done.

So I was a retard and updated to 3.0 on Wednesday and i'm not sure if that has any effect. I can't exactly restore in itunes right now.

2g 3.0 I got it jailbreak cydia keep crashing anyone got the same problem
