Unlock iPhone 3Gs v 4.1 or 4.3.1 with 05.14.02 for international use HELP!
Currently my phone is unlocked. I have:
Modem Firmware 05.14.02
Version 4.1 (8B117)
Carrier ATT 8.0
I am currently in Europe and would love to use a local SIM card. I have not bought one yet but I was reading that I need to have a baseband version 06.15.00. So I'm trying to set it up before I buy one.
I found the link to Update #3 in the dev blog. Where it states the Update #3. The link on that update does not work now.
Also, #2 states: "If you have an old-bootrom 3GS and are already unlockable but want to get to 4.2.1, please wait til we release an “unofficial” bundle for you. Read no further."
What does an "unofficial bundle" mean and where can I get it?
Do I even need to do this or should the way my phone is should work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Redsnow 0.9.6rc18 can install the iPad BB on a 4.1. It's fairly quick and easy. Just select one option. A new restore is not needed. Then install Ultrasnow via Cydia for the unlock. Works for both old and new bootroms.
