Can Pwnage go direct 4.2.1 to 4.3.1?

Hey gang-

Have a question regarding 4.3.1 jailbreak with Pwnage, as opposed to my past experience with greenpoison and redsnow.

If you are running jailbroken 4.2.1 on an iPhone 3gs (greenpoison), do you first need to upgrade the phone to 4.3.1 with iTunes before jailbreaking with Pwnage? Or can you go direct from jailbroken 4.2.1 to jailbroken 4.3.1 using Pwnage? Seems like this would be great for avoiding having to reinstall all JB apps, but that sounds too easy!

You can go directly, but honestly, and I give this advice to everyone that jailbreaks, set up the phone as new when you jailbreak. Yes you need to reinstall "everything" but it ensures a clean jailbreak.

Yes, that's what I wound up doing. It does take iTunes awhile to install a new OS and then Restore all your apps, but not a big deal.

The nice part though was using PKGBackup to restore my JB apps instantly once PWNage was done.
