Cydia crashes after Pwnage Jailbreak on anything newer than 4.1

I have tried everything I can find to figure out how to get Cydia to load after a jailbreak. There is a proper Cydia icon, but it opens then immediately closes. I have the original baseband for unlocking purposes. I have to keep going back to 4.1 to get Cydia to work. 4.2.1 didn't work, now 4.3.1 didn't work. successful Pwnage, but a crashing Cydia app. I did notice that on 4.3.1 the signal was stuck on 1 bar, something I read on another forum.

Does anyone know how to fix Cydia? Perhaps wait for another update and try again.

Exact the same issue.
I will do a Pwnage again. If not I will do Redsn0w over to check if is work.

I do a second pwnage without select any cydia additional setting, just the core. Works!
Then upgraded ultrasn0w to fix the signal bug.

Yeah but if you use redsn0w it will update your baseband. Correct? I'm still on 01.59.00 so I can unlock it. My understanding is, redsnow doesn't retain your old baseband.
