If you used pwnage tool and are on official carrier you need to make sure you do not choose to activate with pwnage tool or you will get no signal.

Make the custom firmware again, this time near the end of the process click on general and deselect the box that says to activate. Use expert mode.

if you are preserving your baseband only expect 1 bar and it does not move, it is a problem with older bb on 4.3.1 and they are working on it

Ok so I am on official carrier but preserved baseband and only have 1bar of signal. Is this a problem with the phone displaying the wrong thing or do I actually have low signal? I assume installing the latest version of Ultrasn0w (when it's released) will solve the issue?
If I helped please head on over and smash the Thanks button.

It's just a bug with how the signal is displayed.

If you get no service it's because you has activate iPhone ticked in Pwnage Tool.

I get service but it's always 1 bar.

If you are getting no service then you have a different issue.

Same problem here, IPSW installs but i get no connection to ATT once installed.

Where exactly in the pwnage do you see the activate option? Is it after you build the file or before?
Someone said in General, where is that?
BTW the base band is: 4.10.1

Any help would be great!! Thanks!!

On the build page go to general and unclick "activate phone" and you're good to go.
