Can I preserve my baseband?

Can I preserve my baseband with tinyumbrella then jailbreak the iPhone 4 with pwnage tool? I'm a version 4.1 and I like to be at 4.2.1 or just stay at 4.1?

Just use pwnage tool to make a custom 4.2.1 and restore to that. You may need to use tiny umbrella for your SHSH if Apple has stopped signing 4.2.1.

Although 4.2.1 didnt really add much, so not sure if it is worth all the effort.

+1, there's no real big difference between 4.2.1 and 4.1 unless you're dying to use Find My Phone or Air Play/Print and all that.

I wouldnt totally sneer at airprint or airplay. I use both..

I'm not sure I sneered. I was being totally a serious. There are features that I really wanted back when I was on 4.1 and wanted to go to 4.2.1. So I did it.

Edit: some of those little feature just aren't a big deal to other people so it might not be worth it to them.
