    Default iphone 4

    Can I use pwnage to jailbreak iphone 4 on 4.2? Im guessing it will b tethered if so. wife decided it would b a great idea to up grade

    Might as well just use redsn0w 0.9.6b6. Save you the trouble of having to restore to the custom fw.

    It's all going to be tethered. You might as well use redsn0w b/c it's a huge hassle to go through the PwnageTool method for the iP4. Redsn0w is much simpler since you're already on 4.2.1.

    I used pwnage to upgrade to 4.2.1 without the baseband update, then redsnow to jailbreak, as pwnage did not do the actual jailbreaking at the time (does it now?). If you don't care about the unlock, just use redsnow.
