Need custom ipsw 4.2.1 for locked iphone 3G

I'm trying to search google but I'm really without luck.. I'm trying to search for a custom 4.2.1 IPSW for my locked iphone 3G.

Can anyone PM me or maybe just post here instructions on how to search for those files? I'm still using 3.1.2 :/

I've made custom firmwares with the iPad basement unlock for both 4.1 and 4.2.1, and am happy to share it, but not sure how.

I can't put it on my MobileMe server as I suspect the bandwidth will get sucked up pretty quick. But if some one can explain a good way to share it, or a free server to upload it too, I'll do it.

I realise I can't link to it here but can send pm's once it out there.

The "email when a reply is made" facility doesn't work for me on this site so best to PM me a place/method to upload.

I have also, an Iphone 3g with a jailbreak on 3.1.2 (baseband 05.11.07) and unlocked with blackra1n.

I need a custom ipsw 4.2.1 for my baseband (05.11.07), in order to make a jailbreak and unlock with the new ultrasnow. I must keep my current baseband because several problems found in Dev-team's posts, about GPS etc with upgrading to baseband 06.15.00


So i would be grateful if you could help me with a custom ipsw 4.2.1 (baseband 05.11.07)

hi there,, I also looking for custome firmware iOS 4.2.1 for 3G. I already jailbroke it with latest release, and updgrade my baseband to 6.15.
however, I still want to upgrade my firmware to 4.2.1 so,,I really really hope you will upload the custom fw to somewhere place..

I recommend you to use mediafire.com, or ifile.it
it very easy.. just go to the page,, register (if they want to), and upload the firmware..

please,, I'm begging you to upload your custom firmware...

I have a big problem...plz help...I was trying to unlock my iPhone 3GS OS4.2.1.

I jailbreaked successfully with Redsnow, then I ran Cydia in Tethered Mode and my phone hung up.....since then I have tried restarting it several times and in tethered mode as well thru Redsnow.......it restarts and hangs up at the Apple/ Pineapple Logo every time....

Need your help badly to recover my phone.

Actually I opened this thread because my problem is a little different. I have the old baseband 04.26.08, and since dev-team said not to update to the new ipad baseband if my baseband is unlockable (and it is), my only option right now is to upgrade my 3G with a custom ipsw that doesn't include to the ipad's baseband (06.15).

Anyone with a mac can please create such a custom ipsw for us? (I guess I'm not the only one with this problem).

If you have already installed ipad baseband, stuck at 4.2.1 or don't like the tether boot then if you have 4.1 shsh blobs, you can restore back to stock 4.1 and use Exit recovery from the feature of Tiny Umbrella to kick out error 1015.

I have an iphone 3g with 4.2.1 and baseband 06.15.00.. I also need a custom ipsw. Can anyone please tell me how i could get one? I am stuck in recovery mode and nothing works. I've tried everything i know.. and it is not much. This is my first iphone and i am not so good with phones.

So my questions are:

2. How can I get out of recovery mode?
3. How can i jailbreak and unlock it again?
