Default Add Ultrasn0w Unlock to PwnageTool

    Hey all,

It took me a while to figure out how to add ultrasn0w to PwnageTool since adding the repo and pressing refresh doesn't yield anything. I wound up reading many articles and pulling my hair out trying to get it to work, so hopefully this stops the searching for many users on here. May be old news to some.

In order to add ultrasn0w to PwnageTool and get ultrasn0w on the iPhone when wifi is not available, download the file below, unzip it, and place the bundle in ~/Library/Application Support/PwnageTool/CustomPackages. This bundle utilizes the most recent version of ultrasn0w as of this date, ultrasn0w 1.1-1.

Then run PwnageTool like normal, except when you get to the custom packages page you will see ultrasn0w listed; simply check the box and continue building your ipsw.

Post with any questions, though I may be of no help. It worked for me so hopefully it doesn't cause any problems for anyone else.

Method seems broken in PwnageTool 4.1.2 :-(

Will adding custom sources in PwnageTool **ever** be fixed? It feels like something simple is broken, but without the source code none of us can try to help.

    Dev Team?

I used this bundle for an iPhone 3Gs and it worked, BUT, seems to have a problem for iPhone 4 in this bundle. And i need this bundle working for iPhone 4.

This should work with all current firmware versions and iPhone models...It will unlock iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 and iPhone 3G/3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00

    Hello!

Does anyone have any instructions on how to go about creating a 'custom bundle' for use with PwnageTool or redsnow?

I'd love to create a custom .IPSW with ultrasn0w and SAM pre-compiled.

Thanks to amsgator's work we're half way there with ultrasn0w!

    Thanks,

    Steve

if you open the bundle posted in the thread you will see very easily how to add sam to his custom ultrasn0w bundle. you only need the deb files for the sam and samprefs (or whatever its called). drop them in to this ultrasn0w bundle and you should be good to go.

I'll gladly give that a try, thanks. Next inevitable question.... ;-) Does anyone have the current SAM .deb files?

Unsurprisingly browsing to the repo address from a desktop Mac (repo.bingner.com) doesn't bring any joy.

    Thanks,

    Steve
