iphone 4 ios 4.02

i just got an iphone 4 and did some searching about jailbreaking it. Anyone have any ideas on how to jailbreak the ios 4.02. thats what was on there right out of the box

I have the same problem. Just bought new phone yesterday. I wonder if there is any way to downgrade to 4.0.1.

You can not jailbreak or downgrade an iPhone 3GS or 4 the came new out of the box with 4.0.2 on it.

Same problem here fellaz... it is quite apparent though that The Dev Team AND GeoHotz already have methods to unlock iphones on 4.0.2 (out-the-box or otherwise) but refuse to release them now that Apple is making revisions ONLY TO THWART JAILBREAKING WHICH IS 110% LEGAL...
What they ARE doing is posting ALL the information they've accumulated detailing exactly how they accomplish these JAILBREAKS AND UNLOCKS...
For guys stuck with locked iphones (such as my new one) there seems to be 2 options at this point:

1. Sit and wait for the experts to release new Jailbreak tools- one day. (presumably after the next iTunes revision)

2. Study the info that's readily available online and create your own tools!!!! (Readev Team Blogs...TheIphonewiki... Hackint0sh.org etc.)

You can use this How to Jailbreak 4.0 iPhone 3G/iPod Touch 2g on OS X/Windows or you can downgrade to 4.1 since you have a 3g.
