3.1.2 3.1.3 to 4.0

Hi unlocked my iphone using pwn. worked fine with 3.1.2 then i upgraded using pwn again to 3.1.3 then i had to do something with base band inside cydia ,,cant remember to get the network carrier to come alive. then that worked fine. Today i tried to upgrade my phone from 3.1.3 unlocked iphone 3g to 4.0 and cant get service all phone calls returns failed calls. what do i need to do?. Then i used pwn again and reverted to my old 3.1.2 ipsw file but same thing.. cant make phone calls.

guess i have to try installing 4.1 directly from itunes to lock the phone again


Second question if i buy a new iphone 4 with os 4.0 or 4.1 can i jail break that one?

You have to install ultrasn0w from cydia to unlock the phone, so it'll work on your carrier
