ios4 on 3GS question...

What I have:
Model: 3GS
Version: 3.1.3
Modem Firmware: 05.12.01
Bootrom: 539.3 <- I think this is the old one?
Other: Device is jailbroken with spirit
As far as i know I cant use the pwnagetool 4 sooo...

If i download iPhone OS 3.1.3, open itunes shift click restore, select the 3.1.3.bin download and install it back to the original setting/OS, and then continue with the pwnagetool 4 instructions (without using the spirit JB), would that work?

Similar situation here: 3GS, old bootrom, WAS Jailbroken with 3.1.2 using Pwnagetool, but later had to do a restore and used Spirit to get JB 3.1.3.
I still have the custom firmware for 3.1.2 that was made using Pwnagetool. Can I just restore to my old custom 3.1.2 firmware and then use Pwnagetool 4?

I beleive you would be in luck, check some other threads as im not entirely sure the process yet.
