3.0.1 to 3.1.2 help

I have an iphone that is 3.0.1 and is jailbroken and has cydia. I want to upgrade to 3.1.2. How do i do this without losing my jailbrake and cydia?

Restore to a custom firmware of 3.1.3 and then unlock with Ultrasn0w. No hassle , no errors...

I used guide at Jailbreaking the iPhone and it worked great for MY phone:
3Gs 3.1.2 (04.26.08) - week 31 phone w/ ATT carrier 5.5

My WIFE's phone, however....not so lucky:
3Gs 3.1.2 (04.26.08) - week 18 phone w/ ATT carrier 5.5

Same process both times, but my wife's MMS doesn't work now (receiving sometimes, but can't send). Should I restore it again? Why would mine work fine and hers get screwed up using the same steps?

If you have a Mac you can use PWNAGE Tool 3.1.5 and it will not affect your baseband which is the 04.26.08 which you don't want to loose
