New to jailbreaking. My iphone 3g has 3.1.3 firmware
I was recently introduced to the idea of jailbreaking my iphone. It has been in the last couple days that I decided to start reading and getting serious about this. My iphone recently updated to 3.1.3 firmware because I always have the auto update settings turned on.
Does this mean that I can't jailbreak the phone right now? I haven't tried anything yet, but saw the big warnings against updating the firmware.
Thanks and best regards
Ken

Since he has a 3G, why not just jailbreak it with redsn0w? Won't need to bother with custom firmwares.
@ken377lx
You should turn that auto-update feature off in case you do decide to jailbreak.

The issue here is not jailbreaking. You can jailbreak 3.1.3 but you can't unlock it. My brother's phone accidentally update to 3.1.3 but end up downgrading his phone due to several problems.
