iPhone 3GS wont reboot?

hey there i got this iphone just 2 weeks ago its a 3GS and 3.1.2 firmware. so basically i jailbroke it when i got it and eveything went well blah blah blah. so i wanted to turn off the iphone and when i tried to turn it back on, it showed a apple USB cable and the iTunes icon with a black background. from there, i couldnt turn it off or do anything without plugging it back into my computer with the usb and running blackra1n again...i dont really want to do that every time is there any solution to this? thanks

You have the new Bootrom, which requires a tethered jailbreak.
